I remember other kids getting it when I was 7 to 9, went to school with several that had braces on their legs. Don’t remember seeing any kiddos in our school that had it. I do remember the school nurse giving us the Oral Dose of Polio Vaccine in the first grade. It was a little sugar cube. My best friends Dad had it as a child. He still had a noticeable limp as an adult. And till the day he died.
