Is it a factory barrel? I’ve never seen a 17 Mach 2, seen plenty of 17 wsm and 17 hmr.

They didn't make many of those. I have a NIB laminated stainless in one. Blue walnut used $800 to $1000 would be fair.

That would be a nice tree squirrel hunting rifle and cartridge combination, but the 17HM2 is almost an orphan. Fortunately, if, or when, it doeis become an orphan, whoever owns it can put a 17/22 barrel on it and still have a useful rifle.

Given the limited market demand, my estimate would be in the $500 to $600 range. Set a price that you think is fair and either stand firm or entertain offers.

I'm not sure about collector value. You might want to ask this question on rugerforum.com. I always longed for an M77 in mach II for squirrel hunting, but hunting with a rife on the coastal plain is not held in high regard.

I sold one about 3 years ago for $750; mine had been fired but was still about as new.

i'd say its well worth $800-$1000 in todays market. 77/22's in general have seen a good demand over the last couple of years, & not a lot of 77/17m2's floating around.
