Ordered a Benelli M2 20 gauge 26” barrel Max 5 camo. Went ahead and also ordered a case of Boss shot shells 3”# 4s. I plan on using it on Mallards and Turkeys. I have been shooting a SBE II for the last 8 years and believe it to be one of the best. When it comes in I’ll defiantly have the forcing cone lengthened and maybe a trigger job. Can’t wait to shoot it this fall. Anyone shoot the M2 20 gauge?

Don't use mine a lot but when I do I like how it performs. It is a rainy day squirrel and rabbit gun.

Nice choice! I have a Montefeltro 20ga. 24" that i like a lot, its my go-to squirrel shotgun and it would even make a dandy little turkey gun....Good luck..Hb

I started shooting a M2 20 ga a year or two ago. I'm not a shotgun guy but I really enjoy it. Like being able to change the cant/drop. After using an M2 12 for "everything" shotgun related the little 20 is just a better fit for most everything. The 12 is basically a turkey only gun now, never changing the 21" barrel or burris. The 20 gets used for everything else.

I have an m2 like the op’s except mine has a 28” barrel. I use it exclusively for ducks. Excellent shotgun in every way and I duck hunt probably 50 days of our 60 day season. I had an SBE but I gave it to a grandson who wanted a 12 gauge. You’re going to be well satisfied with your purchase.

I would go to Rob Roberts to have it done, he has done a couple of Beretta's for me in the past
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

How are the stock cones? Many of todays offerings are not the old standard.
Addition: Todays SA are designed around varying pressure curves. Start messing with the cones, and if by chance you have feeding issues and have to send it back, most likely you just voided the warranty. Benelli is owned by Beretta....and Beretta doesn't have all that great a rep on warranty issues.
Addition: Looked into it and it seems many do cone work on the M2 with no issues.

My Benelli M2 20ga is the slug version, 24" fully rifled barrel. Really like it, accurate, balances nicely... thinking about picking up a 24" field barrel for it.
