Anyone here using small rifle primer brass for Creedmoor loads. I have a couple thousand small rifle primers, and small primer brass is more available. Thanks in advance!

I've had great success with Lapua SR 65CM cases. I have mostly used Fed 205M, and Superformance.

Using SP Lapua brass with no issue. Primarily shoot h4350 and H4831.

Mind if I narrow this question? Has anyone here had poor experience with SR Primer Creedmoor due to inadequate primer performance with perhaps an emphasis on cold weather? Expect cold weather definition here may be less than 20 degrees above Fahrenheit.

I bought some once fired Federal 6.5 CM brass that turned out to be small primer ones. Got rid of about half, and still have the other half. I'm not a huge fan of Federal brass, but I have theses and probably need to do something with them. Has anyone here used the Federal small rifle primer cases?

I was reading about getting some bushing on the bolt to shoot Small rifle primer brass. Any idea what that’s about?

Many bolts have an overly large firing pin hole to work well with small rifle primer cups at high pressure. It's not just about clearance around the pin either. The hole itself needs to be on the small side and have a close fit to the pin.
