he really means it this time. After 54 days without rain.
80% chance 2pm - 7pm in Central Tx. Everything is burned up.
It used to always rain right before dove season, so they don't
have to go to tanks (ponds).

Barry, did you get any of the rain from that depression that went thru the other day? I know they got a lot south of you.

It started here about 4 this morning... good soaking rain, but it will blow over by noon, according to the radar

In Ks, there’s usually a day or two cool period, low 50s at night, in late August. That moves most of the doves south and ruins the dove season.

Our chances went from 90% yesterday to 50% this morning.

Just a shower.

That moved south, then west. Those areas needed rain badly too.

Got a mild green-up here, but about another day of hot and dry will brown that right up again.

SE SD is really dry to. My corn crop is gone. Beans have a chance of maybe making 20 bu. 42 is my ave. Been hauling water to cattle since July 1. Started feeding em on pastures 2 weeks ago. Pulling em in a week. Came into the season w zero subsoil moisture. Reminds me of 2012.

It's been kinda dry around here too. Looking forward to cooler days with some moisture.
