anyone own one of their guns? Cheap prices, but may be a good throw down truck gun for the price? I just ordered one, but just wanted to see if anyone has experience with them.

Personally I would order a set of Go/No Go gauges also...

Few will, but I always check new guns... K-Mart or otherwise.

There will be a few (several), that most likely do not own any thing from Bear Creek, maybe never even laid hands or eyes on any, along here shortly to tell you that anything BCA produces is pure, unadulterated junk...mainly because Bear Creek stuff don't cost enough....

I own several of their uppers and barrels, and have had only 1 that caused any grief, one of the first run 22LR uppers. A phone call, had a return label within minutes, and a replacement within 5 days, that has been good to go so far.

I use one of there bull barrel uppers for our "barrel burner" AR matches, and so far it has held its own against much more expensive rifles. A 24 inch 6.5 grendel has proven itself at a couple of Bangsteel matches, too, out to 1000 yards.

Is Bear Creek top tier stuff...No. But I have been very satisfied overall with them.

Que BullSchittArtist hunter and others to show up and bash BCA....

I have no experience with the brand. It probably works fine for a truck gun but I remember BCA making news for hiring a bunch of illegal aliens a few years ago.

You'd probably want more cartridge than a 5.56...grin

Best friend ordered one.
I looked at all the reviews, and said get ready to send back.
Shot a 5 shot 1/2-3/4inch group.
I will say factory loads were not great. My handloads were what it wanted.
Very surprised. Dont know a others, but mine is a keeper.

I have one just like yours. I bought it when they dropped to $349 bucks, Several months ago. I put little over 175rds through it so far. It shoots just fine, I haven’t really shot it for groups. But what I have shot through it mixture of reloads and factory 55gr fmj. The hornady frontier stuff shoots surprisingly well.

I have a couple of their uppers and have had no issues. I have a glock 23 barrel that I run in my glock 32 also with no issues. My son has one of their glock 17 barrels and thinks it does not shoot as good as the original glock barrel.

Enjoy your new gun, it should be a dandy.

Son’s got one in .458 SOCOM. It may not be milspec this and milspec that, but my grandsons haven’t been able to break it yet.

Had an Anderson upper and lower and wanted to build ... sump'in ...! Wasn't all that wild about another 5.56/.223 so just cruised the "net" checking out barrels.
On a Saturday morning, I stumbled into a BCA spiral fluted, bull barrel....for $59!!!!! 😳
Sale ended Friday at midnight.
I called ASAP Monday morning!
"Can I still get that BCA barrel for $59?"
"Yes!"
Suddenly, caliber (.223 Wylde) wasn't all that important anymore.
Shooting dude!

That's the only experience I've had with Bear Creek Arsenal.

If DIY AR builders want to spend their hard earned bucks for the YHM, Spyder or other high dollar "pieces/parts", that's up to them. I've been perfectly happy with my Anderson, Primary Arms and SOTA "pieces/parts".
Bought several Anderson lowers when they had them on sale for $39/ea. Everyone of them built a very nice rifle.

I have several side charger complete uppers and they all shoot and run fine. I expected about a 50% return rate but that's not the case. I have to knock some rust off the charging handle of the beowulf from time to time

.50 Beowulf 16" and two 5.56 7.5". All of them are moa or less with no malfunctions of any type. 200 rounds through the beowulf and one of the 5.56, 1500 or so through the second one. I intended to use the .50 as a lightweight wounded bear tracking weapon but the round didn't do as well as .308 so my hk91 clone continued in that role. The two short uppers are just to have in case someone needs them. Geno Jr. shot one of them for a while till the new wore off. With the birdcage type flash hider in place, none of them were better than 1.4 and some were 2 moa. Removed them and they shoot right.

They have a lifetime warranty and stand behind their work. From what I understand, their service is slowish. I have no personal experience with it.

Go to the AR and tactical rifle section& check out splattermatic's threads. He's bought some BCA & tries them.

Maybe not going to Afghanistan good, but truck gun good it seems.
