FS: Early USRAC Win 70 PF rifle with 2003 installed custom Shilen 22" match SS barrel, #5 light varmint contour. Rifle in outstanding condition, chambered by Shilen in .338-06, later Ackley Improved 40deg. Barrel done in sporter style with rounded crown. Action appears to have had the Shilen "action job"; bolt face was uniformed, very smooth handling. Barrel is serial numbered to match the receiver. "Barrel By Shilen" in their script engraving. Barrel has not been marked to reflect the AI chamber.
Barreled action is in USRAC synthetic heavy magnum stock. Action is blued. Bluing in excellent condition. Has 2pc alum floorplate/triggerguard. This action is double threaded on rear left receiver bridge for aperture sight like Williams or Redfield, will also accept Win 70 match sightbase. Comes with original Shilen Invoice. Work done cost $700 in `03. Also includes a like new Redding FL die set in .338-06AI 40deg shoulder. I have some brass fireformed, but just ran out of time and interest on this one.
Sales price is $1645 plus Priority Mail postage & insurance, probably about $90. I also have a variety of 225gr Barnes XXX bt and Nosler Partitions, plus some 230gr Failsafe can make available to the buyer if need some premium bullets, almost forgot also have 250gr Speer Grandslams.
