WTS a Marlin 1895CB in 45/70. It is JM marked, I purchased on the old Marlin Owners site and has been sitting in my safe for 15+ years. I am not sure if it came like this from factory or is someone modified it. If it was modified it was professionally done because it looks factory. It has an octagonal barrel and a steel "cowboy" crescent buttstock.

I am looking for $1300 Face To Face in South Florida, but will ship with insurance to your FFL for $50. I am not looking for any trades.

Didn't the 45-70 Cowboy have a 26" barrel?

Correct, this one looks like a very well done custom job. The butt plate is obviously custom too. This one looks more like a late 1800s levergun than any modern Marlin I have seen. If those crescent butt plates did not eat me alive I would be very interested in this one.
