Hi, A friend of mine has a 240Wby with a Canjar trigger. He shipped the rifle to a company for rebarreling (sans Stock) and received the rifle back with the trigger bent and some springs and bearings missing. He is having a battle with the gunsmiths about replacing the trigger and I just wanted to know if Canjar still exists? Are these triggers still available? Otherwise he is better off with a Jewel. But he is the kinda guy who will want the rifle in the same condition as he sent it.

I think they still may exist but on a very small scale. I have tried to contact them numerous times to no avail. I think they are about like a mom and pop company now, just a shadow of their former days. It is an excellent trigger. Sometimes they are listed on eBay. Thanks...Bill.

I had the same problem nine or ten years ago but finally did find them and got what I needed. If I can find anything on them I'll post it. (I think I worked backward from some info stamped on the trigger itself) You might try this for starters: Canjar Co. 500 E. 45th Ave. Denver, CO 80216 (303) 295-2638

Great triggers, but don't hold your breath. That used to be true, but since the second generation took over quality control seems to have slipped IMHO.

Unfortunately, I think Canjar has closed for good. Last week, I was able to leave a message on the Canjar office recorder and get a return call. The recorder did state that Canjar was planning to close. This week, I'm receiving another recorded message from the operator stating that "the number, 303-295-2638, has been disconnected."
I still have a Canjar trigger on my Ruger M77. It is a shame to see this company close.

If the wide trigger is not messed up the rest cna be made. I am on a waiting list for parts from them. I have posted here and on other sites looking for A Ruger #1 or #3. None have showed up, when I talked to Marry she said the had the parts as long as I didn't need the trigger. I said I would make one, that was two weeks ago. Even offerd a $25 finders fee with no Luck. Good Luck
No matter how good a rifle looks if it shoots over 1 inch groups its ugly.

Even if Canjar's business phone is now disconnected, the former owners may have time to answer mail. Per Google, the last address was:
M.H. Canjar Company 6510 Raleigh St Arvada, CO 80003

The Business is closed, they are doing inventory. The building and machines are being bought buy a new Company. They have not indicated if they want to make trriggers. I am on a list waiting to see if I can buy the rights to the Ruger # 1 trigger. Will keep you posted.
