Hoping someone will have knowledge concerning these 2 very nice recurve bows, vintage, I would say 60's era.
1. Beautiful Fred Bear, glass powered, Kodiak Hunter 8T7877, AMO 60", 55#.
2. Beautiful Swift Wing LOLO, S-2198, 26#.
Will try to post pictures later. Thanks

What do you want to know about them?

The Kodiak hunter is probably a 1968 bow according to the serial number. Good hunting weight and if it’s in good shape I’d say value is $250-325. Unless it has some fancier wood on it. A lot of them still around.

You can date the Wing based on the factory decal. Does it say “Wing”, “Wing Head Ski”, or “Wing AMF”?

Thanks for the info. Both are rosewood. Bear has a date of 1953 on it. The other one has Swift Wing, Wing Archery. Thanks again. They are really nice and original. Was trying to figure the value. Thanks again.

Bear date of 1953 is a patent date. Rosewood is usually nice.

The 1968 Bear Kodiak Hunters were shedua wood and not rosewood. Some of the pieces can be very nicely figured though. Good shooters and way under rated bows.

The Bear's hold their value pretty well. $250-$350 is probably close. The Wing on the other hand does not have the appeal of Bear and being 26# limits the market. Although many would be well served to spend some time with a 26# bow. Depending on which model (some pics would be helpful) it's probably worth ~$150

I believe the Kodiak Hunter is a 1968. 67 was the first year and they 58”, the 68 and 69 had grey glass. The 68 was the first 60” and had green glass.

Bows now may be for sale if there is an interest. Let's try 450 shipped for the Bear and 250 shipped for the Wing or 650 shipped for the pair.

BTT. Bear 350 shipped. Wing 200 shipped. Both 500 shipped. If no interest at this price, will hang them on the wall. I like the way they look.
