Can you use 308 brass to form 338 federal cases? I know the 308 is the parent case for the fed but is it ok to do this?
Thanks in advance

Every piece of 338 Fed brass I have says 308 win on the case head. Piece of cake - simply run a 308 case over a 338 Fed die - done.
Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it.

No problem at all. I use 308 to make 358 brass.

It works better if the expander in the die has a good taper.

I have to neck turn Federal 308 brass after making it 358 due to the dreaded neck bulge.
There is no retreat but in submission and slavery!
