If things work out right, I will be expanding my Mackay place and be there full time. Way too many transplants in other parts of the state, and I would just as soon live as remotely as possible. Elk antelope and wild horses make better neighbors.

Sadly the feds are in charge of the wild horse program so there is not much that can be done. We have the Spar Canyon herd close to where I am at. Most folks who know nothing about them only think "ooh pretty!" and think wild horses are a great thing, not knowing what kind of damage they do, but that is a whole other topic.

Wish I could relocate to Mackay.. I absolutely love that area of Idaho!
I'm originally from Nampa having left there 25 years ago for a much better job in sw Washington.
We'll be moving back to Idaho in a few weeks but, long story short....can't get my wife to consider anywhere but Nampa🙁
Way too many people in the Boise Valley, but it's better than Washington.

I definitely has changed from 25 years ago. I grew up outside Boise, when Meridian had less than 500 people in it. Now it has over 100,000. Hard to fathom that kind of change.

Mackay is more my pace. My place is miles from town actually as that is by design.
