Dunno about any change in the Budweiser.
Went from 1998 to 2021 with that as a hiatus drinking any.
I did have 2 in Jan 2009 after my MIL died and my FIL asked me to have a beer at a dinner at a restaurant.

Far as liquor goes.

Dunno.
Been since 1998 with that.

For that authentic skunk flavor, nothing beats Mickey’s bigmouth malt lick her.

Only way you could finish a six pack is if a dick sat at the bottom of each can.

LOL

Grainbelt during my AF days in ND. Regular old Leinenkeugel (not that Flavored Zhitt) when I can get it in GA.

Over the last 20 years or so I had developed a taste for darker beers and porters but unfortunately I have developed gout and even with medication I have to watch my red meat and beer intake. I have found I can tolerate a few Miller Lites at a time without a gout attack plus I may lose a little weight in the process.

Miller Lite is drinkable in the summer but in the winter I want more.

Beer?
When I was about 8 (?) or so, my pop would be sitting at the kitchen table working on something and sipping g a beer.
I'd walk by, grab the can and take a sip. No problem. Mom fussed once, but that was the only time.
At the time, I was just being a kid and thought I was being "cute". On the back of my mind, I couldn't figure out why anybody would drink something that tasted like that on purpose! Yeeech!
Even in highschool, when we'd get the older guys around town to buy us a 6 pack, I'd drink it, but I didn't "like" it.
Make no mistake, when I got married and quit drinking beer, the Schlitz brewery in Longview, TX had to sell out to Stroh's! 😜
Even then, even eating BBQ and drinking a beer just didn't appeal to me. I've seen my dad eat a candy bar and drink beer! 😖
I would drink a beer on occasion, but it was rare.
Since retirement, beer became a bit more palatable and would drink one more occasionally.
THEN....the wife and me decided on BBQ for our "payday treat"!
Maw had her drivers license, so I got a beer! 😃 Just ONE!
Later, I walked out to the mailbox, about 60 yards from the house. I noticed my right ankle was quite painful.
By the time I hobbled back to the house, I'm in pretty severe pain and can barely walk. 🤯
At bedtime, I'm in such severe pain, I can't get comfortable and sleep was NOT going to happen.
Three hours later at the ER, it was diagnosed as "gout", brought on by rich (high in protein!) foods!
Well, I've had BBQ since with no problems.
Beer? It was nice, but I CAN do without it!
So, beer?
Thank you, no.

Most common domestic beers are woefully lacking when it comes to flavor.

Same thoughts here. Weather turned off cool here and a regular Sam Adams tastes pretty good.

I’m picking up what your laying Jim. Been drinking beer for many years. Once in a blue moon I’ll get that taste like way back when. Never know when it’ll come and it’s gone! Reminds me of the days I pilfered Genny and Matts from my grandparents garage fridge
