I had a custom rifle built by Fosnaugh Custom Rifles. Its built on a 700 SA, a 21" X-caliber barrel, Trigger Tech trigger, Stockys M50 stock in Strata camo and all Cerakote done by Eddie. It has Tally 1 piece rings and a Vortex 4-16x44. Eddie did an awesome job and it shoots as good as it looks. Attached is the first 3 shot group at 100 yards. Its a hand load I used for a Savage .450 I'd been hunting with. 245gr Hornady Interlock and Lil Gun.
450 bushmaster is one of the most forgiving rounds I’ve played with. They all seem to shoot. Dang nice group. How many grains of lil gun. I plan to load the interlock for my son.
I was shocked at what the one I byiot last year did on target. I have never messed with straight walls at all so it was a new experience. I'm running an 18" McGowen and 250gr TTSX at 2350fps.
The Fury's shot almost as good as the hornady. Had 2 touching and 1 with a little paper between the other 2. Couldve been me easily. Gonna try to shoot a few more and could play with the charge and seating if needed. And yes, Eddie does great work with a lot of attention to detail.
My buddy just picked up a 6.5 creed on Monday. I've never seen a rifle shoot this good. Can't stop talking about it.
When I get back from Montana in a couple weeks, I'm selling both my Mauser m12's (great shooters too) and probably 3 Encores to fund 1 Eddie rifle in 308.
