Any of you guys ever hunt BC for mountain goat or caribou? I’be been speaking with outfitters the last couple of weeks and having difficulty picking. I am planning to focus on goats first and leaning towards horseback. Adding a caribou or moose would be a nice option but realize they inhabit different areas.

What have your experiences been like?

Well worked as a guide for Mouuntain goat, killed many
Sheep also, never a caribou though.
Outfitting in B.C. is a a little tenuous, Goats can be plentiful but our heyday is over. We have no management practices. Sad thing

I just got back from a moose/caribou with Backcountry BC and Beyond. One of my friends owns it and I've hunted with him a bunch. And they do well on goats too.

Shoot me a PM if you like and I can give you my contact info if you want to chat.
