I don't care for the huge mass of most dive watches, though I wore them when I was active in scuba. Instead I wear a very thin Seiko waterproof watch with the black rubber strap.

Tag Heuer - class cowboy in a dive watch without dropping huge money on a Submariner. 🤦Glycine Combat Sub 300m dive watch can be had for about $350 from one of the "grey market" dealers. The movement is either ETA (25 jewels) or Sellita (26 jewels). The quartz version is even less expensive. One advantage of certain Japanese auto movements is they can be wound up manually, you do not need to wear the watch or use winding machine to keep it going.

I've been wearing a Seiko Solar dive watch for the last 2 years. It has the accuracy of a quartz movement, but, since it recharges the battery through a solar cell on the face, it (pretty much) never needs a battery replacement. Its the best of both worlds - super accurate and no maintenance, and has been a great timepiece.

This Seiko has been on my wrist every day for the last 22 years. Japan made It ran a bit fast for the first 10 years, but has gotten better. Ditched the rubber dive strap for a NATO type strap right away, and am the second strap now made by ZULU, which will last for years.
Have an A1 Day!

As Jerry Clower would say- I like my watch with numbers in it.Numbers 1-6 all the way around to 12. I don’t like having to count off to know what time it is.
