I know this topic has come up before but I was not paying attention....... I have a hunt coming up next week and the weather is supposed to be very wet, the hard cases I have now are supposed to be water proof but have failed me in the past. What case have you found to be truly waterproof ?????????????? need a 52" model

You can bring up a thread 2 or 3 times a month about "what is the best Rem 700 trigger" and get a hundred replies within an hour everytime......you would think someone of the thousands that need a 700 trigger would also need a waterproof rifle case. but I guess not btw: thanks AKwolverine, too bad they don't have one in stock

Alpine Innovations Gun Slicker may work for you. You could put your rifle in it, then put in your hard case for travel. Have a ball Pard!

Have you looked at the Pelican cases? https://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/cases/long-case/air/1755I got one with a used rifle I bought and it looks like you could ride it down a class IV rapid and survive. Never had it out in bad weather, but the seals and latches are heavy duty. Light it is not! 25 lbs empty which is why it comes with wheels. Jerry

I searched every store that was within 40 miles of me, almost every case claimed to be weather resistant but not water proof........big difference as I found out from my last case. I found what I was looking for at one of Sportsman's Warehouse (first time since the Bass Pro Shop buy out), was guaranteed to be waterproof NANUK 995Headed out right now, will let you know if it works out as planned
