Was out hunting with the boy last week. Had driven a few miles out into the ranch and glassed a little. Buddy took off and headed back to feed and head to town. Little while afterwards, I start the pickup to drive up on a knob and get out the spotting scope. Or I should say, I tried.

No bueno. Everything powered up. No crank.

Realize it is something that is not allowing the computer to sense the truck is in park. Starts fine in neutral now. But probably 70% of the time it will not turn over while in park.

Guessing the n/s switch is bad or maybe the linkage needs adjusting?

Anyone had this experience?

Well, the problem went away.

I wonder if getting snow jammed up there caused it and as I got the snow gone, melted and dried out, if that could be why it is now working?

If you were driving through deep snow, then that could well have been it. I would check to see if the wire connection is tight and sealed.
