Dave Mustaine is a musician that you have to see live to be sure that it really is a human being that is playing guitar.
This one came out when I was in high school, though I didn’t seriously listen to Megadeth for about 10 years after that. Like the OP, much of his song writing and music is like he knew what the current state of the world would be.

I didn’t get into megadeth but enjoyed a few songs. That being one. He can sure rip a guitar.
He’s an awesome metal artist! Neither he or Metallica would be where they are if they stayed together I believe. No one writes memorable guitar riffs like him. Dave should be in the hall of fame like he’s dreamed of, especially considering some very non-rockers already there.
Mustaine was always a better musician & songwriter vs Kirk Hammet, when Metallica ran out of Mustaines riffs to build songs around, we got a bunch of crap that only the gayternative emo kids liked... after Justice I gave up on them and they still haven't created anything of musical value since ....
as a kid, the first song I learned to play was Jump in The Fire, you can feel the Mustaine energy in the music, even though Hetfield is on vox it's totally a Mustaine song ... Kirk Hammet has never written any better riffs in his career beyond Mustaines leftovers that he got inspiration from, on his own he sucks
