I've got an old Belgium made Browning BAR chambered in 243 that I am wanting to replace the stock and forearm. This was my great grandfather's rifle that he hunted with and my dad let my ex-stepbrother hunt with it and by the time I finally got it the forearm was nearly split the full length and of coarse nobody knows what happened. Just wanted to see if anyone might have a wood stock and forearm laying around they'd like to get rid of and was also wondering how hard it is to replace them?

I am guessing a new set of wood will run you about $300. I can look and see what I have and know I do or did have quite a bit of new (old) Browning wood.

Take a look at Mid West Gunworks , there have been a couple of changes to the BAR stocks through the years....make sure that your buying the right one.

Thanks just let me know. 257 Roberts would I need to run the serial number on the rifle to make sure I'm getting the right one or is there another way to make sure?

Arts Gunshop would probably be able to answer any questions and also probably have the wood, or where to direct you.
Good luck,
Ed
