I recently acquired this knife from an estate sale. I have researched it's history and value as best I can. It is difficult to find accurate information on these knives. I THINK this is a early (pre-1990's) Magnum Hunter made by EK Knives before the company was sold to Blackjack and subsequently Kabar. Logo reads EK Benchmade Knives
The knife is 11.5" overall length. The blade is an upswept 6.5" made of .20" thick 440C stainless steel with a hollow grind and false edge top grind. Rosewood handles are fastened by the signature EK X brass screws and nuts. The knife is unused with the factory hair popping razor sharp edge and in overall excellent condition. Comes with the original heavy leather sheath. The only condition issue I can find is a discoloration on the brass fingerguard. Caused by tarnish from being stored in the leather sheath. The sheath shows the tarnish as well. I did not make an attempt to clean or buff it. Please look closely at the pictures for condition.
Any of you experts out there who might know more about this knife please comment.
