This has the 7.3 in her, 143k original miles on the truck asking $16k. Overall condition is good for the year. Tires are Michelins in good shape, routine maintenance done.
It has some scratches and dents, paint on the hood is ok, but will likely need a paint job in the next several years if you want a pristine finish. Manual locking hubs have dry rotted in the last few years, but we don’t ever use the 4x4 so it hasn’t been an issue. Drivers door doesn’t always lock with the remote, but is fine manually locking with the key.
I upgraded all the lights to LED last year, has newer 2011 running boards. I also added a K&N intake (still have original), Tailgate is gone, used this to haul a 3 horse trailer (also for sale if you need one), get feed etc. since we purchased in 2006 with 60k on it. Has gooseneck hitch in the bed. Upgraded trailer size and went to a 350, only reason for selling. Probably one of the most reliable vehicles I’ve ever owned.
I just had the oil changed and new wiper blades installed on 11/26.
If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a PM. I feel that $16k is a fair price for an extremely low mile truck. Feel free to PM me any questions or reasonable offers.
Only long trip I’ve ever taken it on was up to Michigan 8 years ago to see family during the summer. Averaged 20-21 the whole way.
The newer 2012 350 eats it up 14-15 hwy and 11–13 no matter what I put behind it. The extra power with the bigger, heavier trailer and exhaust brake are nice but you don’t joy ride in the ole girl at $4.79/gal.
My 2002 7.3 gets 21 MPG at 65 MPH. It drops to 18 at 75. A great vehicle indeed.
Jim
My 99 still gets 21 mpg @ 300,000 +.
Mine is still a baby with only 168,000 miles. Runs like a champ. I have a 2018 gas that only gets 13 MPG. The 2002 diesel has a fuel cost (based on $4.25/gallon and 21 MPG) of $0.202/mile. The 2018 gas has a fuel cost of (based on $2.80/gallon and 13 MPG) of $0.215/mile. I will probably be buried in that truck.
