Why can't anything be easy for me?
Looking for scope rail for older model(180) mini 14. Everything says 181 and up.
This is a 1970ish model rifle. It aint like I bought it from Dave Crockett.
Any Ideas?

As long as it has the tapped hole on the left side of the reciever, under that little piece of sheet metal, the M-14 style of sidemount should work. Get a money back guarantee from the seller, or take your rig to a gun show and I'll bet you'll find several to try. Are you looking at the B-Square model?

yes, The B-Square at Midway. Its the only one that didnt say 181 and newer guns.
It has a large screw head on both sides in the wood stock of the rifle. Is that the tapped hole you mean?
Thanks for the help.

Oop's It wont work either. I may just need to like it with iron sights. Our next gun show is the 17th of this month, so I'll see what they can do.
