Any of you know where I could ship my favorite hunting daypack to replace zippers? Older Cabela’s pack that I’d like to continue to hunt with. Thanks for any help, Fenton

My wife had one of my packs repaired and told me next time, buy a new one. I guess it was expensive.

Some dry cleaners have seamstresses. It would be a good place to ask for starters. Also, ask at sewing machine shops.

You can buy the zipper from this lady. Then as Ironbender said most seamtresses can do it. Last coat I did was $40 to put. The zipper cost was pretty cheap. https://www.thezipperlady.com

My brother had the zipper replaced in a wool hunting coat by a local tailor. Probably as good a place as any to ask.

first on on the list here might work. No, I've never used any of them. Just a quick search for you. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffsb&q=pack+repair&ia=web

Shoe repair shops CAN do it. Not sure if they will. I had some one break into my Jeep Wrangler several years ago by ripping the cloth top. Shoe shop charged me $5 to sew it back up.

Dogs chewed up my Bison Gear pack a year ago to get the jerky I had inadvertently left in it. They are out of business and no longer made and it is my favorite pack for archery elk hunting. I sent it to this lady who sent it back looking like new. Very pleasant to talk to as well. http://www.rachelssewingrepair.com/

My tailor said no but sent me to a shoe repair job that did a great job.
I think the issue with the tailor was the thickness of the day pack fabric and the zipper size...

Anyone doing leather repair has a beefy enough machine to replace zippers.

Are you located in Fenton, MI by chance OP? There’s a local guy in Bay City, MI on Water St. It’s an old school type shoe cobbler repair shop. He does just about any kind of leather or canvas type stitching needed at very reasonable prices.

Leather shop in Bridgeport will do it for a fair price, Kim's shoe repair in Saginaw also replaces zippers...

Is the zipper torn out or does it just come apart behind the slide? If it just comes apart, usually the slide is the problem as it's not squeezing the zippers together tight enough. Squeeze it with some pliers and most of the time it will work.
