I appreciate your offer. Looking for wood stock. I wasn’t aware they made a stainless synthetic in the 260 or I would have specified. Thanks again

I have a SS/Laminate Ruger M77 MK II Compact in .260 Rem that my daughter used for a few years.

Let me know if you're interested.

Kudos to you for putting him in the same caliber (I think that's really cool for father/son to share ammo) and on a classic cartridge rather than the flavor of the month!

HoosierHawk I appreciate you reaching out. I think the stainless/laminate is a beautiful gun. I’ve decided for this one to be more traditional wood and blue.

Another nice rifle is the Tikka in 260 Remington. Both of my kids hunted with them. They used to be available with traditional wood stocks. Great accuracy as well.

You may look for a Steyr SBS. They were available in that caliber (I have one, not getting rid of it as I always end up regretting it) and came with a synthetic stock with 2 or 3 removable spacers at the butt end of the stock.

I found an old article by Jon Wolfe that says the length of pull is 12 3/4" to 13 3/4".
