The old ones from before CZ-USA don't have the built in scope bases. They take Remington 700 bases If I remember right. I had one and sold it. Shot great.

I sold a 550 Mag a few years back. Wish I still had it.

Buy it.

Asked my friend if they would take $575 he said that might work, I asked would they would take $550 didn't think so, we settled on $575.Gave him $275 he's holding it for me until next week. Called him after I left to make sure it was a Minn. version of the CZ and it had the correct letters for that model CZ550. Well pleased with the rifle. Thanks again for all the advice and information from all that responded. Does not have built in scope mounts.

Being used (or sold as such) it won't devalue it a bit to test shoot it.

If it doesn't work for you, make some money on it and send it on.

Good deal.I have two CZ 550 Varmint 308 Win and one CZ 550 Premium 30-06.Great rifles they are.Regular trigger can be adjusted easily by factory instructions.Push the trigger forward and it's factory set, super lite, breaking under one pound. The actions on those rifles are built real heavy.Since they don't make them anymore, the value will forever be on the increase.

I rarely use the set trigger on mine, because the trigger moves far enough forward that I need to take an unfamiliar grip.
