I can tell no difference between the two. What am I missing?

Comparing my Colt 20 round .223/5.56 mag and ASC Grendel mags they are the same on out side dimensions down to the grooves and shoulder stop on the side except for the 'feed lip/cartridge area' which are different.
My 30 round .223/5.56 Adventure Line mag is the same all around including the 'feed lip/cartridge area', they are longer of course being a 30 round mag.

When I shot the first Grendel, it was then 6.5 ppc at the time, for Arne, testing. We used 20 round GI and had to simply tweet the feed lips a bit to make em work. I can't recall exactly but I know I had a pair of pliers in my shooting stool and it just took a bit of that.
IIRC the best ones today have mods to feed lips and a different follower.
I'm going to buy a few just because, soon... but in the meantime tweaked 20s will work reliably enough for most uses.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

I am pretty sure it is feed lips, follower, and curvature.
I have loaded grendel into standard mags by accident and they misfed upon use.
