Looking to have a pistol grip put on my guide gun. Any experiences? Suggestions?
Thinking of sending it back to MARLIN for the work anybody specifically I should or should not speak to?
Thanks.

I would call customer service and they should be able to help you out. I just had a recent experience with them which worked out great

You will need the curved pistol grip butt stock, a curved finger lever and the curved trigger guard plate, all from the current model 1895 to get the factory checkering to match. Or you can buy all the parts here: http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=082Zz1895S

Good info, thanks. I was aware of Numrich but was under the impression the trigger guard plate was not available to the general public.
Any experience with assembly? QC and standardization good enough the parts will be "drop in" or can I expect alot of fitting?

Another way to get a pistol grip guide gun, is to buy an XLR. It has a half magazine, pistol grip, lam. stock, stainless. just cut the barrel from 24" to 18" or anywhere else in the middle.

I took my marlin 1895 to a gun smith and had it cut down to guide gun length and love it
I like the feel of the pistol grip stock better also
now its short, light and ready to hunt

firebiker,
First off, welcome to the "fire"
Would you mind shareing, what did it cost to have your barrel shortened? Thanks! Am thinking on this for my 1895 XLR.
