Nice buck and a real nice rifle. They have become expensive and very sought after in 35 Remington.

While is not an Echols Legend it’s still a fine rifle for it’s intended purpose. I recently sold a 336 in 30-30 simply because it wasn’t a 35 Rem. Very nice deer and congratulations! Hopefully it’ll score again next year for you.

I picked one up in late November. Still working on loads ( this polar weather has not helped there) but hope to put it to use between now and the 2nd!

I bought a buddies from his wife after he passed away last year. I replaced the fogged Redfield with an era correct Leupold 2x7, gun was made in 1973, I've carried it once. Would like to shoot something just for the nostalgia.

My grampa gave me his Marlin 336 RC .30-30 Win
My dad gave my nephew his Marlin 336 SC .30-30 Win.
Both rifles are 1950"ish" models.
Dad and grampa killed lots of deer with those rifles. I took my first deer with gramps Marlin and several deer with whichever rifle I could borrow at the time.
Oddly, other than gramps 336, I've never owned a Marlin lever rifle except for a 39A.
I have, however, killed a butt load of deer with a .270 Win bolt rifle.

The accuracy of the Marlin lever rifles is due to the "Micro-Groove" rifling used by Marlin.

P.S. - nice deer, nice rifle
