Wasn’t calling just deer hunting and three came by around 125 yards in a river bottom. 1 got lucky the other two didn’t. 223ai, 77tmk. Think I’ll mount the big one for our cabin. Laying on a log or stalking a Turkey, not sure yet. Another view of the big one.

That's a nice cat. Love the mount of a cat straddling a log.
There are 2 rules to success:
1. Never tell everything that you know.

Nice cats!
If you would, tell us about the rifle.. Action, stock, barrel, etc.. What load are you using with the 77tmk? I haven't found any in a long time !!

Rem 700 with#2 Douglas in McMillan mountain rifle stock. Can’t remember the charge but it the 77tmk with Alliant 2000mr. Can’t remember the length either but they are just touching the lands. Former campfire poster Eddybo (since passed away, great man) did the truing, threading and chambering. Timney trigger and Leupold 3-9.

Can't really tell be looking at the pics but how bad does the 77tmk rip up the fur on the exit ? I'm going to be trying my hand at bobcat in 2 weeks for the first time and am trying to figure out what bullet to use for minimal fur damage. Thinking about using my 69smk or 55 grain SP.

No I didn’t weigh it, I had to carry it about a half mile (without anything dragging the ground so I didn’t mess up the hide) and it was getting bad heavy

It tore it up pretty bad, that’s a tennis ball sized hole in the hide. I’ve shot very few bobcats so will defer to others who have on bullet selection.

I shot one with my 35 Whelen and 180 TTSX, hit her in the nose bugged out the eyes and blew a 3" exit in the neck
I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first
