I have had this in another thread as a WTT. Couldn’t edit title or post to list it as for sale. So I am looking $1250 for this rifle.

As far as potential trades, I have gotten interested in maybe building up some sort of long range type rifle, so would be interested in a CRF Defiance or Zermatt/Big Horn type action or I am specifically wanting a Model 54 in 30-30 or P64 Model 70 featherweight in 264 or 270. If you have something else you think I might be interested in, try me. We can add some dollars on either side of the right offer.

The rifle is clean, but as pictures show has had some customization. Bluing is good, just took the photos with cell phone and it is hard for me to get a good picture of bluing as polished as it is. Below is a link to the prior thread that has more info from the original owner of this.

Thanks!

My understanding is it was drilled and tapped for Remington 700 bases. So yes, both are an option

This used to be my rifle.

Yes, the hole spacing is for Remington 700 bases. I had work done by Dan Cowan of Renton, WA. My goal was to get a peep sight, which was possible at the time by using a base made by XS Sight Systems. It worked and the rifle shot well set up that way, but I would not do that modification again.

I also had Dan glass-bed the action, cut the barrel to 22" and crown it, free-float the barrel, and install that front sight. It balances superbly with a 4x Leupold FX-II scope and is very fast in the hands. I later used it to kill several feral cattle and a small hog on the Big Island of Hawaii. It shoots very well with S&B factory ammo and with 286-grain Nosler Partitions and 270-grain Speer semi-spitzers over 4895.
