Found this link at another site. Lawyer interview starts at about the 35 minute mark. It's supposed to go into more detail on the Eli Dickens shooting. I listened to the part where the lawyer describes the shooting; he is very well-spoken. Here are a few facts that I gleaned:
Gun: Glock 19
Sights: Damaged stock sights (they were partially ground down in a motorcycle wreck that Eli was in shortly before this incident where he slid on his gun!)
Ammo: Unknown
Shots/distances: First 4 shots were from 43 yds from cover, with 2 hits. I'm not quite clear on the sequence, but it sounds like Eli either began shooting within 15 seconds of the bad guy's first shot, or he fired all of those first 4 shots within 15 seconds of the bad guy's first shot. Eli then advanced to about 20 yards from the bad guy and fired 4 more shots, with all 4 hitting. He then closed to approximately 25 feet and fired 2 more shots, both hitting. In total he hit the guy with 8 of 10 shots.
Eli Dicken's Training: None. He has had no instruction other than he grandfather teaching him to shoot as a child. Nor does he go to the range to practice. He does dry fire at home.

Brave young man did exceptionally well. His friends should get together to have the sights replaced on his gun so he doesn’t miss two times if he ever has do that again. LOL

Well done, shot and move, use cover when available. Make the bad guy look for you, close the distance when it is to your advantage. There is only one rule in a gun fight, win!

I would be very interested in where the shots struck the bad guy, in what sequence they struck, and the bad guys reaction to the hits.
