U bolts were probably loose. What rear is your jeep? I was going to buy one of those a couple years ago.

Its a 89. Has the dana 35 in back an dana30 in front. Put a 3" lift on, an front bumper. Made it pretty capable. Wantin to get an ox locker in both ends but that will be a while.

Heres a lil better pic of the whole rig. The KC's have been fixed since then as well.

Dana 30 infront. seems pretty good. Dont the newer ones have a smaller front axle??

My 69 cj had a dana 27 and I broke spider gears a couple times, and striped the T14 trans, then put a muncie 4 speed in it. Also split the transfer case in half, it was the old style that had the rear drive shaft off set in line with the front drive shaft. The foot pedals and clutch cable set up also sucked in the '69, they wear attached down on the frame and master cyl was on the frame too. I had the original buick V6 though.

I still run the Dana 30 in the front of my 84 cj7.My rear is a 44..My 30 diff is welded. It does like to eat Lock Outs tho...I always carry a spare set.Never broke an axle or ring and pinion..5 bolt 30 lock outs are a dime a dozen.Have a 44 for the front that will be put in this winter..Along with a SOA and new Eagle Valley Fab bumpers.

surrprised us to when we pulled that outta the botto0m of the leaf pack.

Wonder how long the leaves had been shifting.

Took it down to napa. Handed the old bolt to the guy an told him I wanted one that was a lil longer an had both ends. lol.

He was a lil surprised
