Seems the beavers built a dam and backed water up in the low spots of the road to my hunting area... I was a bit apprehensive, but the Dodge handled it just fine...

I've had the '99 for six years now. Best feature - it's long since paid for. I keep telling myself that I'll treat it to a winch and a limited slip if I intend to keep it very long... Been a good truck, nothing fancy, just a little 318 V8 and a 5-speed manual. Tires are a bit oversize, good shocks, good brakes and a canopy on the bed during the winter months. This simple little truck has done everything I've asked, snow, ice, mud, sand, rocks and various combinations while hauling and/or towing. Hard to beat a decent pickup for an all-around hunting & fishing vehicle.

Regards, Guy

I do use the heck out of this thing, year round, and for a stocker, it does fine. Do believe I could use a winch though... smile

Yea thats what happens when you let your buddies convince you that your rig is the one that needs to be used when bird huntin.

It is a large creek and we debated weather it was a good idea or not for 15 mins. Some how we figured it was.

THe passenger side was in a deeper spot than the drivers side luckily allowing the airbox to stay above water.

If you get a winch you will find yourself suck 100% more often
because you dont think about digging yourself out. Trust me on that one. This is what it looks like outa the water.

Had an '88 Cherokee for a few years, then this '95 GC for nine years until my son rolled it. Great rigs, capable of some amazing rough-country travel. Looks like yours is well setup!

Mines an 89. And your right about them being capable. I keep putting mine in places its not sposed to go. Im becoming a big fan of the uni-body on the cherokee. No frame hangs down to hang up on stuff.

Just wish I had a lil more than 3" lift on the jeep.
