I used them three times last year. Just have to watch out for the scammers. With one of the rifles I was selling I put it on. Got a message asking if it was still for sale. Guy gave an email address and wanted some more photos. I sent a couple more. No response. It was on for more than a week and I bumped it. Got a message from the same guy, giving a different email address to send more photos. Didn't send any. Bumped it a third time and got another message from the same guy with a third email address asking for more photos. Sent him a message back saying it was the third time he asked for more photos with three different email addresses. Told him to go on the manufacturer's website to see what it looked like.

I'm not going to put it here, but there are certain words and syntax the scammers use that gives them away immediately. Whether on Armslist, Craigslist or any other selling site.

Did end up selling that rifle to a legitimate buyer for what I was asking.

I’ve heard so many bad comments about armslist, I never look at it.

I use it regularly. It really is not difficult to discern serious buyers from scammers, especially if dealing locally with a face to face transaction. The proliferation of scammers is everywhere. If one is willing to deal locally, face to face, it is an ideal first attempt for sales as opposed to forums such as this in order to forego all shipping costs.

Bingo. It's probably more useful somewhere like where I am in a metro area of several million people. Bought, sold, traded dozens of things face-to-face over the last few years. Yes, there are plenty of d-bags on there, and some crazy prices. Do your due diligence and be patient, it's a useful tool.

On it often. It's the craiglist for guns. If you CYA and proceed with caution you can get deals. If you are one who repeatedly gets duped by Nigerian princes or thinks David Blaine can suspend himself in Jello for 5 days I suggest you steer clear of the site.

It stays he is a premier seller. Cross referenced his business name, he has a shop with limited days and hours but will continue to research him, his address and ensure he in fact has an FFL.

that was pretty much going to be my comment. I never ship anything I have listed on Armslist and I will never have anything shipped to me. that's all face-to-face local stuff but it does help me sell a few things and does help me locate some stuff.
