My wife and I have had the fireplace lit since this afternoon when the temps dropped. We repositioned the dog's bed over near the fireplace. Naturally, he immediately gravitates to it, and won't move. You have to step OVER him to tend the fire! I guess it's true that pets seek out warmth, and a cozy fireplace, a comfy dog bed, equals Heaven to a dog! grin

LOL.. Reminds me of my wife's cat (years ago). That darn cat would lay right up on the bricks of the hearth, and we always wondered if he would get singed!

Sure your dog has a fireplace. Doesn't everyone's? But did you install special low windows for them to look out from floor level, when not using the high lookout?
