I have long theorized that boobs are the "membership card" for the female gender. Women use them to prove to each other that they are women. I knew a gal, way back in the early 80's. They were nice looking but the thing that struck me was, they were not as warm as other parts of her body.
That was a little strange, Had a girlfriend who was pretty petite and she had fake boobs..not too big, just about the right size. But they were hard! Like two baseballs glued to her chest. We were at a cookout once and she came up behind me and pressed herself against my back, and covered my eyes and said "Guess who?".. Wasn't much of a challenge with those baseballs poking into my back.

I bought my wife a set.
She had reconstruction surgery after having them removed many many years ago for normally obvious reasons that women do so. I think that these make up the 2.6% mentioned in the OP for whom the payor is indeed the sole benefactor.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.
