Thoughts?? NP435 has a pretty decent low gear. It's been a while, but IIRC the SM465 is even lower geared. I do know a NP435/NP208 transfer case and 3.92 gears was plenty low enough for me.

GM used them in 73-80 4x4's & up to 1 1/2 ton trucks. A 6.14-1(google say 6.55-1) Bulldog or Granny low gear.
