Well, the last missing piece of my DIY pre-fit build came in Saturday, the McMillan stock, so I got to put it all together. I had a 6.5CM previously but sold it and after some time decided to build one, the idea being something I can shoot frequently with affordable and available ammo, easy recoil and still suitable for hunting. I know the CM is not everybody's favorite but it does have it's attributes. Build specs: Defiance Tenacity (pre-price increase) Proof pre-fit at 24" McMillan Game Hunter, Olive with black speckles Hawking M5 DBM Trigger Tech Leupold 5HD 3115x44 (from a previous rifle) Talley rings/bases Harris Bipod Area 419 Hellfire Scope is a little high but the bolt handle, a replacement that helps, just clears the scope, a common issue with the Tenacity

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Hard not to like the end result....Only things I'd change - I'd skip the brake, and it'd be a 260.....

I had the brake on hand, it's nice for range work, it will eventually wear a suppresser, I have one and can't imagine hunting without one anymore. That said, brakes are much more popular with competition shooters as recoil mitigation as it stacks up after 100s of rounds of shooting and seeing hits/misses.

Nice job! Looks like a killer to me. Thanks, the pre-fit business could not be any easier, just need a few simple tools, my second and hopefully one more in the works this year, sourcing parts is the biggest challenge.
