If the outfit seems sketchy, go with one more reputable.
If you were willing to pay cheap, itās gotta be worth a bit more to be sure.

Not looking for cheap, just trying to find a particular model thatās hard to locate. Looks like they should be avoided.

There is nothing wrong with Howa firearms (makers of the Weatherby Vanguard). Their 1500's are built better than some of the American rifles for less money!
They also made the S&W 1500 and 1700. They made the Mossberg 1500's also.
Personally, I prefer Howa's over Savage rifles and the Rem 700.
I have never heard of a private company by that name though. The real Howa company wouldn't work that way!!

I've never owned a Howa. But I've checked out a few. They have extremely slick actions. If they made a version for southpaws I'd probably buy one.
