had a bed cap on my F150, had a cheap aluminum cot- I'd sleep in it many times instead of throwing up a tent camping. A little buddy heater would run you out of there
Sleeping in the cab? I'd rather stretch out in the bed

I worked in the oilfield... Enough said. Once worked in the patch and know exactly what you mean. Dwayne, thanks for that story, it put a smile on my face. Damn cows.

Many times. Hell about 3 weeks ago in the middle of the day I stopped to rest a little about 1:30, next thing I knew it was 4:30. I had a good nap.

Lived in one, for years. Company had a bonus program that limited idle time. It was "voluntary" but raises were contingent on getting bonuses. So July in Louisiana, or January in Quebec no heat/AC.
Have slept in a pickup too. On the seat, in the bed, in the bed in transit, spent a weekend with a tailgate for a bed.

In the cab . . .Taco cab is NOT recommended as a resting spot. In the bed . . . just a hair short, but slept just fine. The bed could be long term solution with some modifications to make it more "roomy", tailgate down and a tent extension would make it just fine.

In the years I was on the Pro Rodeo circuit I slept in my truck or horse trailer a lot more than a bed. Rio7

I have a topper on order for my ‘21 Sierra crew cab 6.5’ bed. I have a very comfortable cot that will fit in that bed and I am looking forward to sleeping in the bed of my truck.

Yep. Many times in the Army and many times on hunting and fishing trips. Last time was in October 2009 on our way to Colorado for an elk/mule deer hunt. Snow, sleet and ice shut I-80 down, and we slept in the “Ford F-350 Motel” in the truck stop parking lot near Big Springs, Nebraska. Not a fan of it much anymore.

Lots while on fall archery hunts, in the truck bed.
Under the truck bed a few times in light rain.
A few days in back of the big Ford Broncho in NM Mts in ice and snow on Mule deer hunt. Left the tailgate down an stretched a nylon tarp over the back of the top an staked the end out past the tailgate. Pretty cold but had a -20 tall down bag.
Mostly put up a nylon tent with rain fly.

Lots of times when fishing or hunting. Usually with a cap on the truck and slept in the bed of the truck. I don't sleep on the bed floor any more though- froze my buns off once too often doing that and swore I would never do it again. At a minimum a mattress or a cot with a good sleeping bag. Slept in the front of the truck several times but hard to get comfy enough to get a good, sound sleep...
May do it again in a week or two to do some coyote hunting in Eastern Oregon for a few days if I go alone... my hunting buddy insists on getting a hotel room so he can be warm and comfy...

I slept in the back of my '72 Blazer when deer hunting and hiking, back seat of the van when the wife was driving to softball tournaments. Now drive a VW Beetle so sleeping in the car is out of the question.

Had a canopy on my .85 GMC and used to sleep in the back when we went camping.
Quicker than setting up a tent.

I've slept on wood boxes of 105 Howerter ammunition. It's a matter of how tired you are.
