Understood, I thought maybe since they were somewhat similar to the CE and Hammers being a mono-metal option with a reasonable (at least advertised) step up in BC that they'd be in the mix as well.

I've loaded the 95's myself and gotten good accuracy, need to draw a few more tags this fall and I'll see for myself how they work out on game vs. 100gn TSX/257Wby.

I can say to 500yds the advertised BC's are close enough on the .257 95's and .277 140's that I can't shoot well enough to say the BC isn't accurate.

I too found Hammer bullets for my Whelen. I was getting frustrated with available bullets and hated to shoot up inventory. I have not tried Cutting Edge Maximus bullets. I suspect that they are available only on-line if at all???

I prefer classic.

Just tested some 103-grain Hammer Hunters in my NULA .257 Weatherby for an upcoming article in HANDLOADER. Was very impressed with the accuracy, andhave heard great things about their on-game performance. Will be "field-testing" some this year.

One of the great things about Hammers is they're actually available during this most recent "shortage." The bulllet I have been using for years in the NULA is the 100-grain Nosler E-Tip--but just try find any now. I ordered the Hammers from their website and they showed up in two days, partly because they're also in Montana.

Hammer processes and ships promptly to Alaska. Plus, they actually notify you when they ship, and if any questions they call you. Hammer is top notch on handling the orders. I have their bullets in .458, .416, and .358.

I have some CEB Maximus & Shock Hammer 325 grain loaded for a 416 Ruger. I don't anticipate much difference in the on game performance. I think the accuracy in my rifle will determine which one I use. The Hammer 404 grain Shock Hammer has grouped very well in my 458 Lott.
