Needing a really heavy duty shelf 12-18 inches deep to store lots of heavy stuff . Anything commercially available that works well or is homemade with thick tubing / plywood the best option?

I hear steel mesh shelving at Sam's type clubs works pretty well. Especially in humid environments, as I've seen plywood bend under humidity and heavy loads.

I have too much for shelving but I'd assume any steel bracket screwed to hit the studs with 1by lumber

I have mine stacked in the floor of a spare bedroom closet

You are probably overstocked. One round, one deer. 5 year supply, boyo! You might need to finish 2....
