The metro area controls the whole dang state. I guess I need to move even deeper into the woods. I hope there's some push back from rural DFLers. But hope isn't a plan of action.

Thanks Goalie, I can't make it, but I have been forwarding this and all other emails from The MGOC to friends and family.
The talk I am hearing, is that the Democrats in St. Paul from rural MN are getting an earful and are not eager to support this.
With only a 1 seat majority in the Senate and only 6 in the House, this is definitely not a sure thing.

Senator Steve Drazkowski has introduced SF 181 - Stand Your Ground - in the Minnesota Senate.
This legislation simplifies Minnesota's self-defense law by codifying the 10-12 court cases that interpret our existing statutory law while removing the ridiculous "duty to retreat" concept that requires Minnesotans to retreat from an attacker before defending themselves with force.
