Those Precisions seem to run about $600. For that money I’d probably buy a CZ 457 American, but I’m old and have old tastes. If I was going to buy the Ruger, I’d want to examine it and check the feeding and extraction with some dummies. That applies to any of them. My HM2 worked perfectly, but others have had issues.
Mine wasn’t quite as “precision” as the name had suggested. So, I installed a 22” fluted Green Mountain 1:15 replacement barrel to make it so: Added another $200 to the cost.
6” steel at 200 yards: … with LAPUA Midas+.
The Ruger Precision Rimfire has some very attractive features going for it. But remember, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. With an inexpensive gun, you must be prepared to either accept or correct inexpensive results.
Buddy of mine bought one and brought it over for me to tune. I was actually very impressed with the gun and Lapua center x. Not a $4,000 bench gun but dollar for dollar I was very surprised with accuracy!
