Make mine an English Setter.

Everyone here has Aussies. One is a real sweetheart....they are all smart.

We had dalmations growing up. One was an obedience champion at dog shows, I miss her.

I'll take another Llewellin from Bruce aka Luv2safari. He had a dog that was 1 in a million--Miss Scarlett----what a girl she was. I got a pup out her blood line. Stolen my heart--I sure miss Annie girl.

Borders and Border X's
One of the best was a Border/Sheltie cross.

French Bulldog is my favorite. She went everywhere with my Dad for the first four years of her life which included our annual bird hunting trip which she loved. My wife and I inherited her after my Dad passed in 2014 and she became my daily companion for the last eight years. We had to put her down last November 90 days short of her thirteenth birthday. After her I don't think we can ever have another dog.

Beautiful dog!
I have other dogs, but heelers are my favorite. I have a Komondor for my livestock and a wife has a miniature Yorkshire Terrier in the house.

I love almost all dogs. We raise Goldens now, but Labs, Shepards, and a whole bunch of mutts have called here home.

I like the looks of the dog Ribka posted a pic of.

For me , not everyone, it’s the Chesapeake.

Having said that, once pretty near any dog of any breed(s) lives with me for more than 24-48 hours is mine.

Currently have a Cairn terrier, tons of character

Lots of good dogs in the world.

For a game dog a well finished Drahthar is hard to beat if you hunt lots of different game.

I get along with Bel Mals better than most but they are a handful.

Had a mini Schnauzer growing up and she was a great dog for just being a dog.

Good buddy has a fun Golden. He's a bit spoiled but such a good heart.

Heelers are always tricky and don't turn your back until they know you.

German Shepards, Rottys, and Dobermen need a firm hand but can be awsome dogs for the right owners.

The easy button is a well bred Lab or Golden.

I’ve had great Shorthairs,Wirehairs,ONE good lab, a couple great heelers, but my favorite and the last dog I’ll probably ever own is a rat terrier. Best all around companion and farm dog I have ever had. Mine goes everywhere from taking kids to school to deer hunting at 10k feet. Kills all vermin and tries like hell to retrieve birds. There are better dogs for each purpose but for a do it all pet that’s my pick.

God, i've had a few favorites. Cairin Terrier (Toto), Boston Terrier/ Jack Russel mix, Collie/ Sheppard mix & now a Sproodle (Springer Spaniel/Poodle) mix. the only 2 dogs i had that weren't worth a [bleep] was a Beagle & a German Sheppard.
