Been selling some things lately , finding out how the shipping costs are skyrocketing. Anyone else feel that way?

If you can’t fit it in a flat rate box shipping can be interesting!

Try Pirateship.com. It's worth it. Just don't underestimate size or weight.

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

I shipped a barrel and a scope yesterday. Shipping rates have gone up considerably. I have always sold stuff shipped and insured. Gonna have to consider selling items + shipping.

I have an account and do print labels at home, but now that the regional rate boxes are defunct, does it save any money? The discount on Priority Mail by printing online went away several years ago. Or are you asking for the convenience factor?

UPS has a flat rate shipping option too that sometimes is cheaper than using weight and dimensions.

A couple of days ago the lady at the post office made it "crystal" clear to me that it was illegal to ship loaded ammo, or primed brass. She showed me the official written material in vivid color. It showed loaded pistol, rifle & shotgun shells. Illegal to ship. Be aware.

That isn't news. Been that way a long while.

For the past 10+ years that I've been shipping ammo, this has always been the case. You have to ship it UPS in an ORMD marked box, dropped off at a hub.

Loaded ammo USPS won’t, but UPS and FedEx Grond service probably still do and no fee. That could have changed since November but TarHunt ships out Schrifle 20g bullets ground no haz fee.

Shipping is crazy right now. 14” chainsaw bar and 2 chains was $27 last week.

Or PayPal/Shipstation if you can stomach PP.

Don't forget about regional rate boxes for things that aren't very heavy.
Regional rate boxes are a thing of the past. At least the rates are. If you use the boxes, you'll be charged the same as any other box of that size/weight. Ended about 2 weeks ago with the USPS rate changes.

I posted this because many were not aware. Some are still shipping loaded ammo thru the mail.

Copy.

It’s only been prohibited for what, the last 20-30 years? Longer?
