Maybe if I was flying to their destinations for business.
I would wonder what baggage fees are in the fine print.

Ymmv Flew with them a month ago. Couldn't prepay baggage because their app wouldn't work. Cost us another $50 since we had to use an agent at the airport. Used them in the past but decided never again. As far as checked baggage we never use it. Learned to pack and just have carry ons.

Yeah I looked at it but they don't fly to where my kids live (Atlanta & Minneapolis) from Syracuse so it does not help me, otherwise I would jump on it for GiGi and Pop Pop to see the Grandbabies more often.

I thought they did have a carry on fee (for normal bag).

I thought they did have a carry on fee (for normal bag). They do. Use the app and it was minimal, use an agent at the airport and it was an extra $25 per. Convenient how the app wouldn't work and they wouldn't offer to do it for the regular fee.

Money has to be really tight to consider Frontier. You'll get there, but it's almost like they go out of their way to make sure you're irritated about something.

As I understand it... Frontier is changing their name next month...
Broke Dick Airlines...

Flew Frontier a few weeks ago.
Bring a “personal bag”, not a carry on. The difference being if you can cram it in the little bag check box by the gate. Not a big deal if traveling light. If it don’t fit, they’ll charge you.
Nice, newer, clean plane and good service from the gate agent. I’d fly them again.

If you fly Frontier, Spirit or any "bargain" airline you deserve any travel drama that happens.

I studied the details yesterday. If I had at least 2-3 weeks free of work and home owner obligations and no fixed itinerary it could be pretty much fun. The biggest stumbling block is that you can only book a day in advance for domestic flights and for some locations the number of flights in/out is limited

Are their seats the size of Southwest - or smaller? I can't do SW - shoulders are too wide.

I just flew on 2 southwest 737 max 8’s. It’s their newest planes. The seat bottom is angled higher in back. Which means less forward Leg support. Frontier flies Airbus a320’s. The Airbus is wider which means wider seats by about 7/10ths of an inch. Also frontiers interiors and seats are very spartan very thin padding. However to me they are very comfortable still. Southwest is a great airline but the 737 is dated and needs a total redesign. 2 tips for frontier. Don’t be fooled you can take a carry on back. Just not 2 for free. I travel with a back pack. So I am good. Also don’t pay extra for the seat assignment. Select the very rear of the plane. It’s more likely to have open seats next to you in the back. Plus the seats are free or the cheapest

Flew Frontier once around 6 years ago. It was an ID90 fare. No problems and a great flight.
I try very hard to not leave AK in the summer.

I try very hard to not leave AK in the summer. Not a lot of "padding" here, just kinda big.
