I never care much for them but, one of my Grandfathers loved them. He would look for them in the woods every Spring and Summer.

I tried to grow them.

They all died.

Love them.

They have a pungent odour but taste nice. Certainly not as pungent as Durian, which is banned on the Singaporean MRT. But still tastes ok.

We have paw paw trees here also. You can smell them after they fall off the trees. Kind of like a banana. Here they drop around October to November. The deer sure do like them. I do not care for them.

I loved them as a kid , but as the years passed have not been able to find a pawpaw tree anywhere around here.

I like them. Pawpaw are the largest native American fruit.

I don’t care for them. They grow wild along the river bottoms around me. Taste similar to bananas but lots of big seeds which you don’t eat.

I like 'em. They're not as tasty as store-bought fruit and very seedy, but native wild foods are cool.

Coons climb the trees here and eat them before they get fully ripe. Have tried to ripen some on the window sill but they were not that good. Think naturally ripe would be better but that is not happening here.

I think they got too wet, too much clay in the soil.

Or they were bad trees when shipped to me.

I may try again, but not this year.

It's like a mango. Haven't had one in a couple years.
