The serial number is 1987, Savage stopped making the 375 in 1983. Calhoun says they were using up parts because they were in bankruptcy, making anything they could to sell.

I think 82 was the last year the Model 99A was cataloged; so you a special one; never say never. You are going to like it! I've not tried the 200s, but I have loaded/tested 220s from Les Vollmer, Vollmerbullets.com with H4198. Vollmer's bullet is really close to the discontinued Hornady 220s (that were the favorites of many 375 shooters).

Where did you find Sierra bullets in 375, l have only seen .224 and .308 for the last year and a half. I was thinking they went out of business for a while?
